In the middle of a cold, dark night
While sleeping soundly, deep in dream
My room fills with a piercing light
I move through the walls, paralyzed

My body floats towards the sky
They take me far beyond the stars

An unknown craft of untold size
Its beams absorb me inside

Strip me naked and strap me down
Subjected to their sick experiment
I try to scream, but I make no sound
Metallic probes shoved in every hole

With their tools they cut and slice
Then insert a small device

Close encounters
Of the fourth kind
I'm abducted
They warn of alien invasion
They say it’s all fabricated
How could it be hallucinated
I never felt so violated

It’s probably psychosis
Or perhaps sleep paralysis
The events without witness
Admitted under hypnosis

I see the pale light coming
I hear transmitters call me

Three years have passed since the incident
Dismissed as a simple delusion
The evidence left upon the skin
These scars were not self-inflicted
